Little water beetle

This is a strange little beetle, James and I were hiking
and we stopped at a lake (it was soo beautiful and it
was perfect weather I will post pics of it later) and James
saw the beetle when I was walking around in the water
and he picked it up so it wouldn't drown. He put on the sand
and just watched it, and it was weird the beetle went
back to the water and started swimming XD. It was kinda
cute lol
